OFFENSE
Entering this season, the Tigers have a number of familiar faces that are ready to take their team deep in the playoffs. Fifth year head coach, Sam Powers likes the makeup of his team and thinks that they have the chance to make some noise this season. “We are an experienced squad that brings back nine starters on offense and eight starters on defense,” he said. “We will have 48 kids out for football and that will allow us to stay fresh and energized by being able to only have four guys play on both sides of the ball. This is a group that works extremely hard and has been plagued by youth and injury, but they should have it in them to make a good run this year.” A workhorse in the backfield, Austin Solis (5-11, 190, Sr.) is back at running back. He ended last season with 1,285 yards on 162 carries and 16 rushing touchdowns. Solis also added in eight receptions for 94 yards. The wide receiver duo of Avery Rogers (6-0, 170, Sr.) and Mason Parker (5-10, 165, Jr.) combined for 1,220 total yards and thirteen touchdowns and they will look to make an impact this season. Remington Laughlin (6-4, 190, So.) will be a new face at quarterback this season. He did not play last season due to an injury. The guys up front will work hard to keep the defense away from the ball. They will be led by Gavin Williams (5-10, 255, Sr.) and Aiden Augustine (6-2, 280, Fr.).

DEFENSE
The defense will be led by Trey Wiliams (5-10, 230, Jr.) at linebacker. He tallied a total of 114 tackles and six tackles for loss last season. He will be joined at the linebacker position by Solis, who had 75 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery. Laughlin will also see time at linebacker. Jake Green (6-5, 200, Sr.) will be a monster to have to deal with on the defensive line. He accumulated 72 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, four sacks, and a fumble recovery last year and is not expected to see those numbers drop off. Patrolling the secondary will be safety Landon Hutton (6-0, 180, Sr.) and cornerback Diego Telles (5-9, 150, So.). Last year, Hutton registered 65 tackles, while Telles had 28 tackles, three interceptions, and a tackle for loss.
