HOBART BEARCATS

Coach: BRYNE BINGHOM

17-13

OUTLOOK

The Bearcats are on the cusp of something great this year. “The Lady ‘Cats return seven starters off a 17-win team last year that consisted of mostly freshmen and sophomore,” said head coach Bryne Binhghom, who returned to his alma mater during the offseason after a two-year stint at nearby Mangum. “Really excited about this team and hope to build on last year’s success.” The Bearcats will feature a formidable trio in three-year starters Harper Talley (Jr., OF), Ella Rudkins (Jr., 2B) and Toni Hodges (Jr., 1B), each with experience uncharacteristic of your typical junior. “Harper is an athletic outfielder that plays extremely hard and [is] super competitive,” Bingham said. “Ella is a player that just keeps getting better and will be a key cog in the top of the lineup. Toni will be our first baseman and hit in the middle of the lineup and will provide power to it.” Binghom’s sophomores are close off his juniors’ heels. Talley, Rudkins and Hodges will be “complimented by a talented group of sophomores in Pearce Porter, Emma Gray and Finley Talley,” Bingham said. These groups and their stew of talent will compel the town of Hobart’s attention for the next two years.
