HOLLIS TIGERS
GIRLS
Coach: Reagan Hightower
23-24 Record: 9-13
The Tigers are coming into this season ready to start with a clean slate and make improvements from last season. Head coach Reagan Hightower knows that while her team has the opportunity to have a solid season. “We are a young team, but look to have a lot of energy on both ends of the floor,” Hightower said. “We have both speed and height this season and hope to work our offense around our posts. I hope to apply lots of defensive pressure, create turnovers, and run the floor well with the ball.” Kenya Surman (So.) will be a key player for the team this season. She is very quick and a great all around athlete. She is a shooting guard, but can also drive and create shots in the paint. Her speed and athleticism allows her to
be very versatile on defense. Another player to keep an eye on is Lilli Whorton (So.) and she is someone that has a lot of potential. She is great on the boards and has worked hard in the offseason to improve her footwork on post moves. She is a strong defensive presence and will be a huge asset on both ends of the floor. A solid teammate, Blair Skorepa (Sr.) is a great student athlete with strong character. Blair might not have the flashiest stats, but she is always on the floor, hustling, and crashing the boards. Her effort is never in question. Other Lady Tigers that will play a role on the season are Presley Riley (Sr.), Tori Whisenant (Jr.), Promise Tubbs (Jr.), Zachaeus Scallion (Jr.), Emree Eastep (Jr.), Josie Robinson (So.), Kaedynce Theademan (So.), and Karlee McFerrin (So.).
