EISENHOWER EAGLES
Coach: MAURICE MAYFIELD JR.
1-9
Eisenhower enters the upcoming season with a fresh sense of optimism under Maurice Mayfield Jr., who steps into his first year as head coach after nearly two decades as an assistant with the program. The staff likes the way the Eagles have approached the offseason, with players putting in consistent work and showing a determination to turn that effort into results on Friday nights. After a 1-9 campaign in 2025, the focus is on growth, competitiveness, and building confidence through preparation.
Offensively, Eisenhower will look to a core group of playmakers to spark improvement. Up front, Tyler Shoopman returns as a key piece along the line, tasked with helping the Eagles establish a more physical presence at the point of attack. In the backfield, Tellas Weaver will handle carries at running back, working behind that line to give Eisenhower balance and consistency in the ground game. On the perimeter, Amir Jiles provides a target at wide receiver, giving the offense a downfield threat as the Eagles strive to become more explosive and efficient.
Defensively, the Eagles will lean on leadership in the back seven to stabilize the unit. Safety Sirvantes Ferguson is expected to anchor the secondary, providing range and physicality as Eisenhower works to limit big plays. Linebacker Ezekiel Moreland will be a key figure in the middle of the defense, tasked with reading plays and finishing tackles, while Kolin Simien sets the edge at defensive end with his ability to rush the passer and control the line of scrimmage. With returning experience and a renewed energy under Mayfield, the Eagles believe their defensive improvement can help fuel a step forward in the win column.
