LAWTON EISENHOWER EAGLES
COACH: Enrique Hernandez
OUTLOOK
The Lawton Eisenhower boys’ soccer team enters the season with optimism and confidence as head coach Enrique Hernandez leads a young, motivated group ready to continue building the program. After watching his team grow through preparation and commitment, Hernandez believes the foundation is in place for a strong year ahead.
“I am very optimistic about our upcoming season,” Hernandez said. “We have a strong, young team that is motivated, coachable, and willing to work every minute they are on the field. Their energy, commitment, and desire to improve give me confidence that we will continue to grow together, compete at a high level, and rise to the challenges ahead as the season progresses.”
Leading that charge is Cameron Raymond, a senior who has been a varsity contributor throughout his high school career. Raymond has served as a team captain for the past two seasons and provides leadership by example on and off the field. His experience, consistency, and mentorship set the tone for a squad that blends youth with returning leadership.
The future of the Eagles is highlighted by underclassman Emilio Ortiz, who made an immediate impact by earning a varsity role as a freshman. Ortiz’s development and willingness to learn add valuable depth and energy to the roster as the season unfolds.
Eisenhower’s success is also supported by strong backing away from the pitch, including Michelle Shy. Her constant presence and support have made a meaningful impact on the program, as she continues to help the team in any way needed while serving as a positive role model for players and families alike.
The Eagles’ roster features a mix of experience and emerging talent, including Damian McDonald, a sophomore known for his leadership and multi-sport ability, and senior Skyler Shy, who has been a varsity player for three years and is recognized for his sportsmanship, leadership, and success in the classroom.
With leaders like Raymond anchoring the team, young contributors such as Ortiz gaining valuable experience, and a strong support system surrounding the program, Eisenhower is focused on steady improvement. Hernandez’s belief in his team’s work ethic and attitude continues to drive the Eagles forward as they look to compete at a high level and embrace every challenge the season brings.
