Under the leadership of Head Coach Kimi Copeland, the Hollis Tigers Cheer Team is set to make this season one to remember. Known for their unmatched enthusiasm and commitment to building school spirit, the Hollis cheerleaders play a key role in uniting the student body and community behind the Tigers. Whether they’re rallying fans at football games or leading chants during basketball season, this group brings contagious energy and pride to every performance.
Coach Copeland says the team’s focus this year is on teamwork, leadership, and maintaining that high level of enthusiasm that makes Hollis sports so special. “Our cheerleaders are the heartbeat of Tiger pride,” she said. “They motivate the crowd, support our athletes, and represent Hollis with spirit, class, and positivity.”
The team is led by seniors Promise Tubbs and Mareli Saldana, whose leadership and dedication set the tone for younger teammates. Both have spent years perfecting their skills and take pride in being role models for the rest of the squad. Their passion for cheer and school spirit embodies what Hollis athletics is all about.
The junior class is stacked with talent, including Evelyn Salgado, Josie Robinson, Brooklynn Earls, Victoria Duran, Heidi Smith, Eden Motley, and Carina Anya. This group brings creativity, energy, and leadership to every routine, helping bridge the gap between veteran and younger cheerleaders.
Sophomores Mariah Saldana, Da’Naveah Atkins, and Hadyn Brookman round out the roster, bringing youthful energy and a strong work ethic that promises a bright future for the Hollis cheer program.
More than just athletes, these cheerleaders are involved in many aspects of school life, from student organizations to community service projects. Their dedication to representing Hollis with pride both on and off the sidelines makes them a vital part of the Tiger tradition. With their enthusiasm and unity, the Hollis Tigers Cheer Team is ready to lift spirits high and keep the roar alive all season long.
