ARAPAHO-BUTLER CHEER

COACH: Tammy Friesen

OUTLOOK

The Arapaho-Butler cheer program continues to thrive under the leadership of head coach Tammy Friesen, who has built a team defined by energy, unity, and growth. Entering the new season, the Lady Indians are stronger than ever—both in numbers and in purpose.

“We have grown in numbers this year, so we are able to do more things than we have in the past,” said Friesen. “We look forward to expanding our community service projects, helping to grow our school’s spirit, and developing the personalities of our athletes.”

That combination of school spirit and service is central to what Arapaho-Butler cheer represents. With more athletes joining the program, Friesen and her squad have embraced the opportunity to elevate their routines, presence, and impact throughout the school year.

This year’s squad is anchored by four seniors — Hayden Friesen, Rachel Redd, Katherine Meacham, and Taylor Keeton — each bringing experience and leadership to the mat. Their dedication sets the standard for the younger members of the team and helps define the culture that Friesen has worked to build. The seniors set the tone for what to expect on the sidelines.

Joining the veteran group are a talented collection of underclassmen — Kreedance Story, Jovi Petzold, Avelyn Munsey, and MaKennedy Hulett — who represent the future of Arapaho-Butler cheer. Their enthusiasm and willingness to learn have added a new level of excitement to the program.

This is a group that loves to cheer, support others, and give back,” Friesen said. “They take pride in representing Arapaho-Butler and in being a positive presence in the community.”

With a focus on teamwork, leadership, and service, the Arapaho-Butler cheer squad is making an impact far beyond the sidelines. Their growing numbers have allowed them to try new stunts, elevate their performances, and reach more people through their outreach efforts.

For coach Friesen, it’s about more than cheers and chants—it’s about character. They are not just building cheerleaders; they’re building young people who will make a difference.

With their blend of experience, enthusiasm, and heart, the Arapaho-Butler cheer team is ready to make this season their best one yet.
