At just 14 years old, Kimber Mae Beebe is already making waves for the Minco High School Bulldogs. A freshman who plays both basketball and track, Kimber Mae has quickly established herself as one of Minco’s most competitive young athletes — the kind of player who refuses to back down from a challenge. Playing as both a shooting guard and point guard, she thrives under pressure and embraces every opportunity to push herself and her teammates to the next level.

When asked what drives her, Kimber’s answer is simple: “I don’t like to lose.” That competitive spirit has been a key factor in her success, whether she’s leading her team down the court or sprinting across the track.

Kimber credits two strong female role models for shaping her athletic journey. “Taylor Wollenberg always encourages me and pushes me to be better,” she said. “She makes me do things I don’t want to do because she knows it’ll make me better.” She also looks up to Liz Scott from OU, who has mentored her at camps and continues to show support for her development as a player.

In the classroom, Mrs. Woodruff has made the biggest impact on Kimber’s life. “She believes in me and is very nice and caring,” Kimber said. That same encouragement has helped her stay focused academically, managing her busy schedule through discipline and focus.

Kimber’s career highlight so far came last season when she scored 32 points in a single game, followed by a celebratory heel click with Coach Roberts — a moment that still brings a smile to her face.

When it comes to competition, Kimber loves taking on Am-Po and Dibble, Minco’s biggest rivals, and appreciates teammates like Tatum Wright, who constantly challenge her to improve. She values every teammate’s role, saying, “It’s a team sport — everyone has a job. No one should go unnoticed for their part.”

Off the court, Kimber stays active in FCCLA, BPA, NHS, and FCA, and trains with her favorite online mentor, Jon Ellis, whose videos inspire her daily.

With dreams of playing for the OU Sooners and admiration for Caitlin Clark, Kimber Mae Beebe is a name Minco fans will be hearing for years to come.
