Anadarko Boys & Girls Wrestling Preview – Presented by Novotny Tag Agency

Anadarko Girls Wrestling

The Anadarko girls wrestling program continues to build momentum under head coach John Holten, who returns a talented core of wrestlers led by three state qualifiers. With experience, leadership, and growing participation, the Lady Warriors are poised for another strong season on the mat.

“We have three returning state qualifiers this year,” said Holten. “We should be able to fill seven weight classes this season.” That depth gives Anadarko a solid foundation as the program looks to continue its steady climb in the girls’ wrestling ranks.

Leading the charge is Lyndi Cisco, a two-time state champion who sets the tone both in the wrestling room and in competition. Known for her relentless work ethic and leadership, Cisco not only anchors the lineup but also plays a vital role in inspiring younger teammates to join and commit to the sport.

Addy Thrash, another returning state qualifier, is expected to take another big step forward this year. With her experience and competitive drive, Holten believes she has the tools to return to state and contend for a podium finish.

Rounding out the trio is Trinity Geikaunmah, who qualified for state as a freshman last season. With that experience under her belt, she’s aiming not only to return to state but to place this year.

With seasoned leaders and a growing roster, Anadarko’s girls wrestling program is on the rise, ready to compete with the best across the state.

Anadarko Boys Wrestling

On the boys’ side, coach John Holten is equally optimistic about the Warriors’ potential this season. “We have a returning state placer at heavyweight in Jasiah Raines, and we should be able to fill close to ten of the fourteen weight classes,” Holten said. “We’ve also got five returning freshmen who will help us right away.”

Jasiah Raines, who placed third at state last season, anchors the team as its leader both on and off the mat. A straight-A student, Raines exemplifies the discipline and determination Holten values in his athletes.

Joining him are several promising young wrestlers, including Manny Botone, a freshman who placed sixth at last year’s Junior High All-State Tournament, and Tommy White, another talented freshman expected to step into a starting role immediately. Damian Nation also returns as a hard-working and coachable wrestler who brings positive energy and consistency to the room.

With strong leadership at the top and a promising group of underclassmen, Anadarko’s boys wrestling program is laying the groundwork for another competitive season, one built on hard work, development, and pride in the Warrior tradition.
