For the past four years, Weatherford’s Kaitlyn Bryant has been a constant presence on the softball field, bringing consistency, leadership, and an undeniable passion for the game. As she enters her senior season, both her teammates and coaches know her impact on the Lady Eagles program has been nothing short of remarkable.

Head Coach Rick Morris doesn’t hesitate when asked about Kaitlyn’s contributions. “Kaitlyn is a rare athlete,” her coach said. “She has speed and power to go along with a deep knowledge of the game,” Morris said. “She has been a staple behind the plate since her freshman year. She was asked to catch a Division I-type of player and has never looked back. Kaitlyn is possibly the most consistent player I have coached and will definitely be missed.”
Morris also points to her leadership qualities, both spoken and unspoken. “Kaitlyn is a great teammate. She leads by example and speaks up when needed,” he said. That balance has made her the kind of player younger teammates naturally look up to.

For Kaitlyn, competition fuels her drive. Whether it’s fighting for a spot in the lineup or stepping into a clutch situation, she thrives on the challenge. That competitive fire has been matched with years of sacrifice, endless practices, hitting lessons, tournaments, and the unwavering support of her family, who have devoted countless weekends and miles to her softball journey.
Her career highlight came at Devon Park, where she helped lead the Lady Eagles to a State Championship. The memory of walking into the dugout with the Weatherford community cheering still brings a smile. “Bringing that trophy home down Main Street that evening was the best ending to the best day,” Kaitlyn recalled.
Beyond softball, Kaitlyn is involved in Weatherford Future Farmers of America, showing pigs competitively since 2018, and is a member of the National Honor Society. She also competes in track, balancing a demanding schedule with discipline and planning.

Looking ahead, Kaitlyn is excited to continue her career at Southern Nazarene University, a place she feels combines athletic opportunity with community values. While Lady Eagle Softball will always hold her heart, her coaches, teammates, and community know she leaves behind a legacy of toughness, leadership, and love for the game.
