For Amber Bryant, being a mom has always meant being present for her family. She and her husband, Joe, are the proud parents of twin daughters, Kaitlyn and Kamri, both seniors at Weatherford High School. Whether it’s cheering from the sidelines or managing the household, Amber has embraced every role with dedication, love, and enthusiasm.
Before the girls were born, Amber and Joe decided that she would stay home to care for their family. “It’s been the best decision we made,” she says. “Over the years, it’s given me the flexibility to attend and help with any activities the girls have been involved in.” From softball tournaments to track meets, Amber has always been there, often more nervous than the athletes themselves.
Kaitlyn and Kamri have shared a love for sports and academics. Both girls have been active in Weatherford FFA and members of the National Honor Society. While Kaitlyn has also competed in track, Kamri recently faced the challenge of a hip surgery that temporarily sidelined her from softball. Despite these hurdles, Amber has found joy in supporting her daughters’ growth and accomplishments, treasuring the chance to see them shine in both the classroom and on the field.
Traveling across states for softball tournaments has been a highlight for the family. “We’ve been so fortunate to build friendships with players and families from all over,” Amber says. “It’s been so fun to see our girls form bonds that go beyond the game.”
High school sports, however, have also brought challenges. Teaching the girls to balance athletics, academics, and downtime has been a priority. Amber emphasizes the importance of helping them find balance and still enjoy their childhood. At the end of each season or semester, the family sits down to review successes and areas for improvement, a practice Amber says helps reduce stress and create clear goals for the future.
Beyond her family, Amber stays active in the community. She volunteers with the Weatherford Softball Boosters and the Weatherford Ag Boosters. She appreciates the strong sense of pride and collaboration in Weatherford, from the schools to SWOSU, all working together to enrich student experiences.
For Amber Bryant, motherhood is about more than cheering from the stands, it’s about guidance, support, and celebrating every milestone along the way. “I’ve loved having a front-row seat for all their activities,” she says. “Being their biggest cheerleader has truly been one of the greatest joys of my life.”
