THOMAS TERRIERS

Coach: BOB WARD

11-2

OFFENSE

The Thomas Terriers are heading into the 2024 season with high expectations and a roster filled with experienced playmakers. After an impressive 11-2 campaign last year, the focus now shifts to refining the mental side of the game and eliminating mistakes that proved costly down the stretch. With a senior-heavy unit and leadership at key positions, the Terriers have all the ingredients for another strong run. At quarterback, senior Tye Littlebird (5-9, 145, Sr.) returns for his fourth year as the starter. A proven dual-threat weapon, Littlebird passed for 1,672 yards and 17 touchdowns while adding another 456 yards and 9 scores on the ground last season. With nearly 5,700 career passing yards and 58 touchdowns, he brings elite production and unwavering toughness to the huddle. Running back Wylie Heinsohn (6-0, 190, Sr.) is a dependable workhorse, racking up 852 rushing yards and 9 touchdowns on 128 carries. He’s expected to shoulder a big load again this fall. Versatility is a strength at the skill positions, with Landon Wald (6-0, 170, Sr.) and Harper Hamar (5-9, 170, Jr.) contributing both through the air and on the ground. Wald totaled over 400 all-purpose yards and 3 scores, while Hamar added more than 650 yards and 5 touchdowns. Up front, offensive lineman Evan Eyster (6-0, 225, Jr.) anchors a unit that will be critical in protecting Littlebird and opening lanes for the ground game. If this offense can cut down on mistakes and stay healthy, they’ll be a dangerous threat every Friday night.

DEFENSE

Defensively, the Terriers bring back a physical and seasoned group with playmakers at every level. Linebacker Warren Cometsevah (6-0, 190, Sr.) leads the unit after recording 88 tackles last season. He sets the tone with his physicality and relentless pursuit of the football. Joining him at linebacker is Jacob Gibson (5-8, 170, Jr.), who added 53 tackles of his own, while Remi Kohout (5-10, 200, Jr.) anchors the defensive line with 44 tackles and consistent backfield disruption. In the secondary, Collier Leutkemeyer (5-9, 150, Sr.) is a ballhawk with great instincts, logging 37 tackles and 3 interceptions. With a strong core and a hunger to improve, the Thomas defense has the tools to be a dominant force. If they stay disciplined and play together, expect another deep playoff push from the Terriers.
