FOOTBALL

DJ Wilson – Altus

DJ is set to be a three-year starter, bringing experience and toughness to the field. While his physical measurements may not stand out on paper, his play certainly does. He runs with power, vision, and heart well beyond his frame. One of his most memorable performances came last season in an upset win over Lawton High, where he carried the ball an incredible 42 times for 291 yards. For the year, DJ topped the 200-yard mark in a game twice and surpassed 100 yards three more times, proving to be a consistent and dependable weapon in the backfield.

Zane Tyler & Dalton Wells – Frederick

Zane enters his senior season as a three-year starter and one of the most dependable players in the program. With over 1,000 career receiving yards and more than 10 interceptions on defense, he has made a significant impact on both sides of the ball. For the past two seasons, he has been the backbone of the team—consistent, reliable, and a true leader. According to the coaching staff, no player in the last nine years at Frederick is more deserving of recognition. Dalton, meanwhile, is a rare and remarkable athlete. It’s not often you find someone who excels as both a quarterback and a linebacker, but Dalton does just that, and at an elite level. In his junior year alone, he threw for over 1,600 yards and recorded more than 100 tackles. His versatility, toughness, and high-level production make him one of the most unique and valuable players in the state.

Sergio Pineda – Geary

Sergio enters his senior season as one of the most experienced and accomplished players in the program. A three-time 1,000-yard rusher, he has been a two-way starter since his freshman year, consistently demonstrating hard work, accountability, and strong leadership. He sets the tone both on and off the field and serves as a role model for his teammates. Last season, Sergio stepped into the quarterback role for the first time in his career, handling the transition with poise and intelligence. He quickly grasped the offense and communicated his reads effectively to the coaching staff, showing a deep understanding of the game. He’s smart, plays with tremendous effort, and has earned the respect of everyone in the program. Sergio aspires to play football at the next level, and based on his performance and growth, he has demonstrated that he possesses the talent and mindset necessary to do so. His coaches are excited to see what he accomplishes in his final season and fully believe in his potential to succeed beyond high school.

Tommy Torres – Snyder

ommy Torres shared time at running back last season, but this year he’s poised to be the feature back and carry the load for his team. He’s the kind of player who shows up every day with a relentless work ethic and a drive to improve. A natural leader, Tommy leads both vocally and by example, setting the standard for his teammates on and off the field. In the classroom, he’s a dedicated student, and off the field, he’s focused on taking his game to the next level. His hunger to succeed is evident in everything he does, and his coaches believe he has the talent, mindset, and determination to achieve his goals. Tommy is ready for a breakout season and is determined to make the most of every opportunity.

Mitchell Babcock – Tipton

Mitchell emerged as a key leader for last year’s state championship team, stepping up when the team needed him most. With inexperience and struggles up front on both the offensive and defensive lines, Mitchell rose to the challenge and became a steadying force. Though he may not be the flashiest player on the field, he more than makes up for it with his intelligence, toughness, and relentless work ethic. He leads by example, sets the tone in the trenches, and plays with the kind of grit that every successful team needs. His growth into a leadership role was instrumental in the team’s championship run.

Her outstanding defensive play earned her District Defensive Player of the Year honors, along with recognition as an All-Conference Third Baseman. Now entering her sophomore season, Paelyn is poised to take another big step forward. With a full year of varsity experience under her belt, she’s more prepared than ever to excel in both the circle and the field.
