Q&A with Weatherford’s Ava Mosier – Presented by Schlegel’s Quick Lube

VYPE: What grade are you in, and what sports and activities are you involved in?

Ava: I am a freshman at Weatherford High School. I am on the cheer team, band, Spanish Club, and Academic Team, and I also serve as the soccer manager.

VYPE: What accomplishment or memory are you most proud of?

Ava: That would be right after performing for cheer during halftime, sprinting to perform my show for band in my cheer uniform.

VYPE: Who inspires you?

Ava: My sister Mia has always been an inspiration to me. She always follows her heart and will do anything she puts her mind to.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you?

Ava: My teammate Emma. She helps me every day and shows me how to be the best cheerleader I can be.

VYPE: Which professional athlete do you look up to?

Ava: I look up to Simone Biles because she works hard and stands up for what’s right.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about representing your high school as an athlete?

Ava: My favorite part is the community. Once it’s football or basketball season the whole town will come together to watch the ballgame.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade?

Ava: My eighth-grade science teacher, Mr. Hall. He helped me want to be at school and was so compassionate to his students.

VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal?

Ava: A house salad and steak from Longhorn Steakhouse.

VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish.

Ava: I would like to thank my mom for always helping me and doing anything she can for me and Mia. I would also like to thank my dad for staying up late nights, working hard, and being crazy with us when we are all together. I would also like to thank Gabe for always helping me out and Kevin for helping me whenever I need it the most and showing me it’s okay to take a breather every once and a while to have fun.
