Q&A with Chickasha’s Tatym Walley – Presented by Community Bank of Oklahoma

VYPE: What grade are you in and what sports do you play?

Tatym: I am a sophomore at Chickasha High School and I am on the tennis and pom teams.

VYPE: What accomplishment or memory are you most proud of?

Tatym: My biggest accomplishment is having the opportunity to compete in varsity tennis and pom and being selected for vo-tech to start my career in nursing.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that helps you be a better person?

Tatym: My sport has taught me how to be a more open minded person and to not let my mistakes stop me from being a better athlete

VYPE: What current or former teammate has made the biggest impression on you?

Tatym: Kaytlin Keith has left the biggest impression on me. She always lifts me up when I get down and I love the way she’s always thriving to be a better athlete.

VYPE: Who inspires you?

Tatym: My mom inspires me because she is the strongest person I know and doesn’t ever stop trying even when times can be difficult.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade?

Tatym: My favorite teacher is Mr. Voyles from Chickasha Middle School. He is a warm hearted person and makes his students feel valuable.

VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal?

Tatym: My favorite meal would have to be Chicken Alfredo specifically from Olive Garden.

VYPE: You can pick any place to go on vacation and take anyone with you. Where do you go and who do you take with you?

Tatym: My dream vacation would be to Rome with my mom, step dad, brother, and niece.

VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shout-out to anyone you wish.

I would like to give a shoutout to my tennis coaches Mr and Mrs Widener for always taking time with me to overcome my problems and being overall encouraging coaches. I’d also like to give a shoutout to my Pom coach Olivia Elliot (and my other Pom coaches) for helping me not only improve my performance for athletics, but helping me improve on my character skills to become a better version of myself.
