HOBART BEARCATS
GIRLS
Coach: Eric Norton
23-24 Record: 15-11
The Bearcats are welcoming a new head coach this season and they will look to make some noise come playoff time. Eric Norton is taking the reins of the program after leading the Seiling boys team to an 85-22 record and two trips to the state tournament the past four years. “We have a young group this season,” Norton said. “We are going to be defense minded and play fast. We are returning a solid post presence in Toni Hodges. Also bring back a quick guard, Finnley Talley.” Toni Hodges (5-11, Jr.) is a very solid post player, who averaged 10.5 points per game and eight rebounds per game last season. She will be an anchor for Hobart on offense and defense. A new member of the team, Norton’s daughter Sage Norton (5-7, So.) is a great shooter and also has a really good skill set. She is going to be a player to watch. She had a great summer for the Bearcats and she brings championship experience to the team. Finnley Talley (5-5, So.) will be at guard after having four points per game last season. She looks to make a bigger impact on the floor. Pearse Porter (5-8, So.) and Harper Talley (5-5, Jr.) are two outstanding players that will be making contributions to the team’s success this season. They are both hard workers that are ready to do whatever it takes to help their team.
