MANGUM TIGERS
BOYS
Coach: John White
23-24 Record: 14-11
The Tigers are looking to build off of last season and play deeper in the playoffs. Head coach John White says that his squad will have solid leadership that will help guide the team. “We are coming off a 14-11 record from the 2023-2024 season, returning six of our top eight players. We are looking to make a push in the playoffs led by senior point guard Colton Earls and sophomore Remington Laughlin. Both Colton and Remi averaged double figures last year and have put in a ton of work in the off-season.” Earls (6-0, Sr.) is a three-year starter for the Tigers. He averaged 13.2 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game last year and after a strong offseason, he is ready to take the team to the next level. Another player that will look to continue his strong and impactful play is Laughlin (6-5, So.). He had an outstanding freshman campaign, nearly averaging a double-double for the year with 14.6 points per game and 8.2 rebounds per game. Even with a good first year, Remington has expanded his game by developing a perimeter jump. With his height, he is going to be a tough cover for opponents with his size and mobility. Diego Telles (5-10, So.) played a lot as a freshman and is looking to have a bigger effect offensively his sophomore season. He will guard the opposing team’s best player every night and has a chance to have a huge impact on our season. Other players to watch for this season are Daniel Bernal (5-8, Sr.), Avery Rogers (6-0, Sr.), Kolby Warboys (6-1, Jr.), Colter Webb (6-2, Jr.), Clayton Caskey (5-10, So.), Max Richardson (5-11, Fr.), and Zeke Rogers (6-2, Fr.).
