DUNCAN LADY DEMONS

Coach: Grant Givens

23-24 Record: 22-6

The Lady Demons are coming off of a season that saw them advance to the Area round of the playoffs. Head coach Grant Givens likes the make up of his team this season and says he is looking for his squad to have another solid year. “We have the potential for another good season,” Givens stated. “We will be back in Class 5A this season and have the opportunity to be one of the top teams in our district. We return three of our top four scorers from last season. My hope is bringing back experience and being a year older will help us advance farther in the playoffs.” One of those returners back this season is Dasia Givens (5-8, Jr.). She averaged 12 points, seven rebounds, and three assists last season. She continues to improve each year and will end up having a big junior year for her team. She does a little bit of everything for her team and is continuously getting better. Noelle McRoy (5-8, Sr.) is a great kid that shows up every day and works hard and you never hear her complain. She’s always present and a joy to have around. She’s the type of person you wish everyone would be more like. A player that shows up and does her job is Ariyah Harris (5-8, Sr.). You will never hear anything negative come from her. She is an extremely hard worker and a relentless defender on the court. She’s the type of kid every winning team has to have to succeed. Other members of the team that look to contribute this season are Amiya Williams (5-10, Sr.), Emily Halford (5-5, Jr.), Kierney Holthaus (5-8, Sr.), Vivienne Albin (5-9, Sr.), Finley Davis (5-7, Jr.), Hannah Woods (5-9, Sr.), Jaylee Phillips (5-11, Jr.), Lexzandra Delgado (5-5, So.), and Ellie Peterson (5-7, So.)
