Weatherford’s Camdyn Falasco — Athlete Spotlight — Presented by Jackie Dickerson Shelter Insurance

For as long as she can remember Camdyn Falasco she has been around agriculture and livestock. It was family members who encouraged her to get involved in the FFA chapter at Weatherford High School.

“I was involved in 4-H as a kid then continued when I got to 8th grade. My mom is the Agriculture Education teacher at Weatherford High School, so I have always been involved,” Falasco said. “My mom and my sister play a huge part in my involvement through FFA. When I was younger, I always looked up to the accomplishments my sister was achieving through FFA and wanted to be just like her someday.”

Falasco said the community service, chapter meetings and trips with FFA is what she has enjoy most.

“I love getting together as a group and doing little things for their community or volunteering at the National Food Bank of Oklahoma has always been so fun. I like chapter meetings because they bring everyone together, seeing everyone laugh and have a good time. Trips because I had the opportunity to attend the Washington Leadership Conference last summer In Washington D.C.,” said Falasco.

The senior is a member of the volleyball team, FCA and student council.

“The thing I love most about playing volleyball would definitely be the team, I am with these girls every day from June to October, and they become family. I started playing volleyball through the club “Wind” when I was in 8th grade,” said Falasco.

Falasco said she is inspired by her family.

“My dad inspires me as an athlete because he always pushes me to be the best version of myself on the court. My dad has always been supportive whether I have a bad game or a good game. Away from school, my siblings inspire me the most. My sister Kylee Falasco is always pushing me to be better every day. My sister is probably my biggest role model and best friend. My older brother Casen Falasco had taught me that everything will work out and to be strong. My little brother, Keaton Falasco is involved in many sports and is always up for a challenge, I look up to his competitive side a lot.”
