Weatherford’s Autumn Ratterree — Mom of the Month — Presented by More Than Medicine

The high school years of a student’s educational career can be full of good times and bad times. As a parent, it can be difficult to see your child go through tough times. Autumn Ratteree knows that it can be tough but it helps them grow as a person.

“I think the hardest part for a parent of an athlete let alone a high school athlete is being able to support your child instead of taking over their journey,” she said. “Being there for all their ups and downs, wins and loses, and all the life lessons sports can teach an athlete.”

Autumn is the mother of two. Her son, Jaxon, is 22 years old and is a 2020 graduate of Weatherford High School. He played football, basketball, and baseball for the Eagles. Her daughter Emma is a senior at Weatherford. She plays volleyball and soccer.

A proud mom that is always there to support and cheer on her kids, Ratterree also helps the team in whatever ways she can.

“I am always trying to stay involved by volunteering in anything I can do to help with the booster clubs, the team moms, packing goody bags for the players, team meals, team bondings, working concessions. You name it, I try to help do it,” she said.

Autumn is the Vice President of Credit Operations at Farm Credit of Western Oklahoma, where she has been for twelve and a half years. But when she is not in the office, she has other ways she loves to spend her time.

“When I’m not working, I enjoy watching Emma play club soccer, volleyball and school soccer,” she said. “I enjoyed watching Jaxon play football, basketball and baseball. Anything sports related, I love watching. OU Sooner football and softball are some of my favorite teams to watch as well. My favorite thing to do is family time! We are a very tight knit family and enjoy the outdoors and just being together in everything that we do.”
