VYPE: What grade are you in and what sports do you play?
Blakely: I am a sophomore at Elk City and I play softball, basketball, and run track.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade?
Blakely: My favorite teacher was my eighth grade English teacher. She pushed me to always try and be my best.
VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?
Blakely: The best advice that anyone has given me is to do what’s right no matter what because you never know who is watching.
VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal?
Blakely: My favorite meal would have to be the Three-Finger Combo from Cane’s.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you?
Blakely: The teammate who has left the biggest impression on me is Emily Lowrance. She was a great leader and always hyped everyone up and made sure they were involved.
VYPE: What accomplishment or memory are you most proud of?
Blakely: The accomplishment that I am most proud of is being on the first Elk City team to win regionals in softball.
VYPE: Which professional athlete do you look up to?
Blakely: The professional athlete that I look up to is Sydney Mclaughlin-Levrone. She is very open about her Christianity and she is an overall amazing athlete.
VYPE: What has your sport taught you that makes you a better person?
Blakely: My sport has taught me to be competitive but also respectful, and it has pushed me to be a better person and teammate.
VYPE: Who inspires you?
Blakely: The people who inspire me the most are my parents. They were both college athletes, so they expect a lot out of me and make sure I’m always focused.
