OFFENSE
Cordell returns to the field with a determined and resilient offense, led by senior running back Dayton Bartlett. “Dayton Bartlett is coming off a season ending shoulder injury but looks like a real leader. He will be a big part of the offense and defense this next season,” head coach Bruce Munden said. The Blue Devils will employ a multi-formation offense under the guidance of Munden. In his first year as head coach, Munden is ready to start the season strong. “We are looking forward to getting started and take the first steps in turning the program around. Our offense will focus on getting the ball in space and utilizing our young, athletic offensive line to reach the perimeter,” Munden added. The offensive line will be anchored by versatile sophomore Axton Zarecki, who will also play a key role on defense. With a blend
of young talent and veteran leadership, the Blue Devils are aiming for a breakthrough season.

DEFENSE
The Blue Devils’ defense will operate with multiple aggressive fronts under Munden’s guidance. The unit will focus on playing fast, aggressive and making other offenses stutter. “We will play fast and aggressive, taking advantages of our strengths and the opponents’ weaknesses,” Munden said. The defensive line features Axton Zarecki, who will play both center and potentially start at linebacker. The secondary will rely on the leadership and experience of senior Dayton Bartlett. The defense will also see contributions from underclassmen like freshman Briggs Reeves, who is expected to fill multiple roles. With a focus on speed and aggression, Cordell’s defense aims to be a formidable unit this season.
